Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional and dedicated support to the Business Development Team within the rapidly expanding Trustee division. The role emphasizes maintaining strong relationships with legal referral partners and clients, supporting the growth of the will bank, managing leads, preparing sales reports, drafting court document templates and assisting with client onboarding. Additionally, the role involves working directly with clients to facilitate the retrieval of wills from our will bank.

 

This position reports directly to the Head of Partnerships, Trustees, and will collaborate closely with the National Manager – Legal Partnerships, Senior Relationship Manager, and other internal stakeholders, including the Trusts and Estates team and Marketing.

The role will be carried out with a client-first approach, ensuring financial responsibility, strategic alignment, and adherence to Australian Unity’s brand and values, while driving progressive initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for new business enquiries and provide additional support to the broader team by handling overflow from the 1800 general enquiries line.
  • Draft fee proposals, funds management reports and court documents for prospective clients.
  • Manage and maintain the New Business Submissions folder, individual client folders, and all associated templates.
  • Oversee and enhance the onboarding process for PI clients, ensuring continuous improvements to the handover process for Client Managers.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of client data in Salesforce.
  • Track and manage all leads and client interactions.
  • Manage each new client file, ensuring all necessary documentation is collected, filed, and completed to facilitate the setup of new client accounts.
  • Manage all new external will enquiries.

 

About You:

 

  • Experience within the Legal and/or financial services industry within a support role (experience in trustee services is desired).
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Salesforce (preferred not essential).
  • Highly organised with the ability to act quickly, manage and prioritise multiple deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work unsupervised or in a team environment as required.
  • Strong client service focus
