About the Opportunity:

 

We are looking for a detail focused and customer minded Claims Consultant to join our Hospital & Medical team within Health Insurance Operations.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for assessing hospital and medical claims, ensuring they are processed accurately, efficiently, and in line with fund rules and business policies. You will work closely with hospitals, doctors, and providers to resolve claim issues, support billing accuracy, and deliver positive customer outcomes.

What you’ll do

 

  • Assess hospital and medical claims in line with fund rules and policies
  • Investigate claim exceptions, discrepancies, and billing issues
  • Liaise with hospitals, doctors, and medical providers regarding claims queries
  • Identify incorrect or inappropriate claims before payment is released
  • Ensure claims are processed accurately and within service standards
  • Maintain compliance with operational procedures and governance requirements
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across claims processes
  • Contribute to a collaborative and customer focused team culture


About You:

 

You will bring previous experience in claims, healthcare administration, insurance, or a similar operational environment where accuracy and attention to detail are critical. You are confident working with systems, processes, and policies, and can make sound decisions while managing competing priorities. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will regularly engage with providers and internal stakeholders to resolve issues and improve outcomes. A continuous improvement mindset, strong time management skills, and a genuine commitment to customer service will set you up for success in this role.
