Your new role looks like this
As the Accounts Payable Team Leader, you will support the day to day running of the Accounts Payable Home Health function, supervising and developing a team of Accounts Payable Officers and keeping invoice processing and enquiries moving smoothly.
You will help balance workload across the team, step in on reconciliations and complex queries, and support continuous improvement to processes, policies and training. This role suits someone who enjoys leading from the front, building capability, and operating in a fast paced environment with changing priorities.
Key accountabilities include

Supervising and supporting Accounts Payable Officers to deliver accurate, timely outcomes

Allocating workloads and managing the AP inbox and invoice processing queues

Training, mentoring and onboarding new staff across relevant processes
- Monitoring team performance and productivity and contributing to performance reviews and development discussions

Acting as the first escalation point for complex queries and supporting resolution of consumer enquiries and complaints

Supporting invoice processing, reconciliations and account audits (including consumer expenditure where required)

Identifying training needs when policies or processes change and ensuring updates are understood and applied

Recommending and contributing to process improvements within the team

Communicating with customers and stakeholders via phone, email, mail or in person

Supporting the Accounts Payable Manager and completing other ad hoc tasks as required
About you
-
3+ years demonstrated experience in accounts, including high volume accounts payable
-
Experience leading, coaching or supporting a team (formal or informal leadership)

Qualification in Accounting (preferred)

Strong numerical accuracy and data entry skills, with attention to detail

Confident problem solver who can manage escalations and competing priorities

Clear, professional communication skills and a customer service mindset

Comfortable learning new systems, policies and procedures in a changing environment

Experience in aged care is desirable

Knowledge of Home Care Packages (HCP), CHSP and Support at Home is desirable
