Your New Role Looks Like This:

Our Wealth & Capital Markets platform includes Funds Management, Life, Trustees, and Social Infrastructure business units, with over $5.4 billion in property assets under management. These assets span a diverse range of sectors, including healthcare, Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), childcare, student accommodation, and seniors living — all contributing to the wellness and economic empowerment of Australians.

 

As an Asset Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping and nurturing our Social Infrastructure Funds Management business by bringing best-practice asset management to life across our Specialist Disability, Childcare, and Student Accommodation portfolios. Your contribution will be vital in:

 

  • Safeguarding the value and enhancing the revenue potential of these real estate assets.
  • Fostering consistency and high standards in asset management across portfolios.
  • Promoting continuous improvement in risk management, regulation, and compliance.

 

Your Key Responsibilities will include:

 

  • Manage our growing Specialist Disability Accommodation portfolio, which currently  supports over 100 NDIS participants.
  • Build strong relationships with the operators of our childcare centres across Australia, addressing asset management needs and ensuring smooth operations.
  • Oversee our student accommodation asset in Brisbane, collaborating with operators to monitor performance and manage commercial tenancies.
  • Work closely with fund managers to clarify and align roles and responsibilities.
  • Create shared practices and procedures for asset management across the portfolio.
  • Support and mentor an assistant asset manager, who will focus primarily on the SDA portfolio.
  • Track occupancy and performance measures, providing valuable insights for business reporting.
  • Lead the annual valuation process for the entire portfolio.

About You:

 

  • Minimum of 8 years real estate asset management experience ideally across one of the three industry segments (Specialist Disabiity Accommodation, Childcare and Student Accommodation).
  • Experience in stakeholder management with    ability to develop effective relationships.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint,
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Ability to work autonomously, yet adaptable within a team environment to ensure timeframes and deadlines are met
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with all levels of management and develop effective relationships with external contacts
  • Motivated, self starter, driven and solution oriented with demonstrated initiative in completing tasks to tight deadlines and the flexibility to handle changing priorities
