Your New Role Looks Like This:

 

Join Australian Unity as a Senior Sales Manager in our Retirement Communities and lead a state-level team to drive growth and ensure a positive, supportive experience for prospective and current residents. Reporting to the Head of Sales and Marketing, you’ll oversee the strategic direction of sales efforts, engage with residents and their families, and guide your team to achieve ambitious occupancy and revenue goals.

 

In this pivotal role, you’ll be the key link between potential residents and the ideal living solutions we offer. You’ll also support residents and their families in navigating the transition into retirement living and oversee the resale of properties when residents move on. This role isn’t just about sales; it’s about fostering trust, building relationships, and leading a team to deliver the highest standards of service.

 

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

  • Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement innovative sales strategies to meet and exceed occupancy and revenue targets.
  • Market Insights: Analyse market trends and the competitive landscape to adjust sales tactics and identify new growth opportunities.
  • Performance Management: Set clear sales targets for your team, monitor daily operations, and optimize sales processes to keep the pipeline strong.
  • Sales Data Analysis: Regularly assess sales metrics and provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of three Sales Managers and one Sales Coordinator, fostering a culture of high performance and collaboration.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with key teams (Legal, Marketing, Operations, and Seniors Living) to ensure our sales strategies align with broader business goals.
  • Community Engagement: Build a network of strategic partnerships to drive local sales activity, attend expos and events (including occasional weekends), and represent Australian Unity with pride.
  • Salesforce Management: Ensure accurate profiles and documentation for all inquiries and purchasers, capturing each step of the sales journey in Salesforce.
  • Reporting & Forecasting: Present sales reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership, backed by in-depth data analysis.

About You:

 

  • 7 + years’ experience in a similar role including people management
  • Demonstrated understanding of Retirement Living
  • Demonstrated ability to track and report on sales activity and outcomes
  • Proven sales experience in a high-trust service industry
  • Strong financial acumen, ability to translate information
  • Sound understanding of administration procedures and general business practices
  • Holder of current Real Estate License in relevant jurisdiction
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Strategic thinker with result orientated approach
  • Understanding of current state and federal legislative requirements (sales process and documentation)
  • Proficiency in CRM software, sales analytics tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • High work standards and thorough attention to detail
