Your New Role Looks Like This:
We are seeking a detail-orientated Payroll Officer to join our team at Australian Unity! In this role you will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, managing superannuation and tax deductions, ensuring compliance with Fair Work and handling any payroll related queries (for our My Home Care Sites). You will work closely with HR and Finance teams to maintain accurate records, generate reports and support continuous improvement in payroll processes.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Responsible for the processing of all payroll related functions
- Assist with a variety of payroll functions, as directed by the Payroll Manager.
- Contribute and collaborate with the Finance Team to maximise operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance, accuracy and integrity of payroll systems to ensure staff are paid correctly and with confidence.
- Maintain records to substantiate payroll transactions for auditing and compliance
- Maintain email inbox to be managed daily, removing actioned emails out of inbox as they are actioned.
- Contribute to updating and implementing policies, procedures, work instructions, flow-charts.
Please note that this role is a fixed term contract ceasing in August 2025
About You:
- Cert Qualification in Payroll/ 3 to 5 years’ experience in a medium to large high volume Payroll environment
- Experience in Managed Services, (Bureau) Payroll’s using ADP or similar.
- Previous exposure and use of Time & Attendance systems, Procura or Kronos.
- Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite.
- High level of verbal and written communication skills.
- Acute attention to detail, initiative, and planning skills.
- Self-motivated, highly organised, disciplined and results orientated.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task and to manage competing priorities.
