About the role:
Facility: Rathdowne Place, Carlton
Position: Team Leader – Laundry Services
Contract: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
Hourly rate: $33.29 per hour + super
Your New Role:
What your new role looks like:
- Leading, coaching and supporting a team of 4 laundry staff to deliver high-quality outcomes
- Organising and overseeing daily laundry operations, including setting workflow priorities to meet operational needs
- Ensuring correct laundering techniques, chemicals, and processes are followed, and providing guidance to team members
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe laundry environment at all times
- Performing regular quality checks on laundered items and addressing any quality concerns promptly
- Managing and responding to resident or family enquiries and complaints in a professional and warm manner
- Overseeing the handling of resident personal laundry, including sorting, labelling, tracking, and ensuring accurate return of items
- Coordinating facility linen distribution to ensure items are delivered to the correct areas in a timely manner
- Monitoring stock levels and ordering laundry supplies as required
- Ensuring laundry equipment is cleaned, maintained, and serviced as needed
- Supporting rostering and allocation of staff to shifts, including managing leave coverage and resourcing needs
- Completing required documentation, including damage or missing item reports
- Undertaking hands-on laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, stain removal, and minor clothing repairs such as sewing and mending
- Ensuring compliance with infection control, workplace health and safety, and organisational policies

Experience in laundry services (aged care highly regarded)
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership or supervisory role or someone looking to take the next step up
- Hands-on approach with strong work ethic
- Strong communication and team-building skills
- Fully vaccinated for COVID-19 (minimum 1 dose)
- Current Flu vaccination or willing to obtain
- Hold an NDIS Worker Check or willingness to apply
