Your New Role Looks Like This:
You'll be part of the team overseeing the Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Service (STARS) Public Hospital, a significant asset within Australian Unity's Healthcare Property Trust (HPT) portfolio.
You'll be responsible for the Property Accounting of the asset, preparing, reviewing and communicating financial documentation and data in accordance with the contract and governance requirements. The role requires you to work autonomously and is a hands-on role where accuracy matters.
You'll collaborate with multiple stakeholders including the hospital operator, facility management contractor and retail tenants, making this a dynamic role at the heart of a critical healthcare asset.
This is a 2 year Fixed Term Contract role based in Brisbane with a hybrid working arrangement (2-3 days in the office).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial duties including property accounting (financial management, budgeting, processing invoices) in line with governance and with attention to detail.
- Administer financial interfaces with multiple parties including the hospital operator, facility management contractor, retail tenants and service providers as required and with attention to detail.
- Utilise financial systems such as Vision, FRC, SNAP and MRI to raise work orders, contracts, enter payment schedules and manage contractor setup.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
- Have a basic understanding of commercial agreements, most importantly retail tenancy and facility management agreements.
- Ensure financial compliance and work collaboratively with corporate teams as required.
- Undertake administrative tasks for the team as required.
About You
- Demonstrated experience in Property Accounting (any PPP or complex lease exposure is a bonus).
- Property Accounting acumen including financial management and budgeting.
- Process oriented, organised, and problem-solving approach with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Confidence in delivering work accurately and autonomously.
- Natural relationship builder with the ability to engage across diverse stakeholder groups and communicate effectively.
