Maintenance & Gardening Officer

• Position: Maintenance Officer / Handyperson 
• Contract: 3 month Fixed-term Full-time contract
• Hourly rate: $35.67 per hour plus super
• Work hours: Monday to Friday 7am - 3pm
• Location: St Luke's Green Retirement Village and Aged Care facility, Woolloongabba QLD

The role 

Come and join the team where we are leading the industry in driving our award winning 'Better Together' model, raising the quality of living in our Aged Cares and Retirement Villages. We are currently looking for a Maintenance Officer to join the friendly team at St Luke's Green Retirement Community and Aged Care facility. 

What you will be doing

• Providing a range of general maintenance and building maintenance duties – this may include painting, lighting maintenance, basic plumbing and other general repairs 
• Delivering a high level of service to residents, visitors, contractors, and staff
• Maintenance of the shared spaces, ensuring a high standard of presentation
• Working within health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for residents and staff, reporting hazards where appropriate

About you

• Previous maintenance experience. Trade background/qualifications preferred but not essential.
• Previous experience in a Retirement Community, Aged Care, or hotel environment advantageous
• A service, solution, and preventative approach with strong customer service skills
• Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft suite and asset management/ordering systems
• Fully vaccinated for Influenza and COVID-19 (1 Dose)
