Meet our Mob

Meet Ragina, Wiradjuri woman and Regional Manager

Ragina is a proud Wiradjuri woman, living on Bundjalung country in Tweed Heads. Ragina is the Regional Manager for the Northern NSW and Hunter Central Coast in our Aboriginal Home Health team.

"We're serious about closing the gap on Aboriginal aged health care and looking after mob, so we must listen to the voices of our customers and the people who are on the front line every day. Instead of taking our cadet’s out of their communities and bringing them to Brisbane, we brought the training to the community.”

Meet Trish, Ngemba woman and General Manager

In her role as our General Manager for Indigenous Business & Community Engagement, Trisha feels inspired and motivated to provide a representative voice, and advocate across areas of our business where we have an impact.

“I am privileged to work for a company who takes reconciliation seriously, and where our mob’s culture is celebrated and incorporated into our business priorities. This includes our dedicated Aboriginal Home Health team who provide culturally tailored care and support to Indigenous clients in their local communities.”

Our commitment

In 2022, Australian Unity launched its Stretch Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). This RAP lifts the bar from the previous innovate RAP and will empower our employees to become lifelong champions for reconciliation, and to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to thrive through Australian Unity’s commitment to Real Wellbeing. These key actions are underpinned by the guiding principles of Relationships, Respect and Opportunities.
